Anyone want to get leave society with me and live in the wild?

I hope that this satisfies my loyal readers who have been so nice as to demand that I write a new blog ;)

After spending three hours in the mall this morning I started thinking about how out of place I felt. Did I really want to walk around and buy more stuff? Now I do love clothes, but for the fashion and the creativity. I actually dispise the act of shopping and paying for clothes. I think all clothes should be free. Clothes are a form of expression. If we can have free speech and freedom of religion, why can't we have free clothes? This should be something that the government provides for its citizens. I am venturing to guess that soon clothes are going to be just too expensive for some people and I don't want walk around in a society where people aren't wearing clothes becasuse they can't afford them, ew. This may sound a bit materialistic and dumb but really my whole point is that society is getting ridiculous. Can't we all just do our own thing? I mean yesterday I saw an eight year old girl (or younger) using her camera phone!?!? I didn't have a cell phone when I was eight and I lived! What is the world coming to?

Well, some people's form of expression is just more expensive than others.

and if the government gave you clothes, what you would be wearing now would be called sunday. soon, you would change into monday.

That ellen points out the wonderful little catch-22 that we call life.

Yep, I totally get what you are saying. I hate paying for everything. Its sucks but I guess its just part of life. I absolutely love the quote!

Well you don't need government. Starting something ourselves is easier than it ever was...maybe when you do make all that money you can start a personal store where you become a member and share fashion ideas and have the clothes free...in the government's eyes, it is a tax right off for charity, though we'll know the truth. ha, so create society within society!

I have to totally agree with you. Each day I wake up wondering "What am I really accomplishing today?" People in society are so nasty and ignorant and bitter, and it's not worth dealing with them if you don't have to. Why pay for food when you could live in the wild and do it all yourself...That's how man started, so why can't we revert back to it. Just think, no bills, no phonecalls, no BS in general. I have 1 year left in the Navy, and I'm really just thinking about paying off everything, ditching my ride and leaving society for good. Anyways, That's my opinion. r/ Tom

I could not agree more.

If you are serious about leaving society, I am currently in the process of trying to escape. No joke.

People are not going to put hard work into crafting clothes, without some form of payback.
Thats absurd, you want free clothes.. make them out of animals or whatever. when I turn 18 I am going to go live in the wild, where I belong. Away from society, eyes, and opinions. On my own.

If clothes would be "free", then how would the little kids in Asia get their rice for the day?

I would also like to do this. I just don't know where to start... It seems like you need some initial money in order to abandon money.

I want to escape society too! I'm tired of playing slave and can't do it anymore!!!

you seem to want to leave this behind because of the little inconveniences, like expensive clothes. Make your own clothes, if you still hate society leave.
And i'm not being negative, as soon as I can leave this fucking horrific culture that operates our minds I will, i/e when i become 16 and can get on a plane somewhere...

to anonoymous: your not yet 16.. what do you know? experience the people around you first. then decide, do you absolutely need to leave society? is it your insecurities that lead you to want to escape? seeing the responses to this blog, almost everyone wants to get out of urban life. i know i do. but i think you need to bear with life and learn and gain intelligence beyond anything else. everyone has this romantic idea of living out in the wild. I often find myself wishing that i could be out there on the road and out in nature, travelling and learning. but i dont think that people realize the hardships to be faced with that lifestyle.

I have been in the process of being ready to leave society as well I have a group of friends that wish to as well but for now they want to stay and stock up on stuff. I have about 3 months worth of food put away so far freeze dried food, canned goods, Beef Jerky etc. I have guns and ammo and know how to hunt, trap and fish, I know what plants in my area are edible and what plants can be used as medicines. It is only a matter of time before I also leave society. I just think that you have to do it as a team to help each other out. you can contact me at irescueyou775@gmail.com

What do you think about adding some more pictures? I don’t want to offend anyone, blog is really great. Just as I’ve heard visitors acquire information much more efficient if they see some helpful pics.

Due to innumerable reasons that are tied to a certain place, a video game, already released in some places and that looks perfectly acceptable in one territory may be looked upon as the devil incarnate once released in a new territory. This is a good reason to thin that localization - unlike just straight translation - is extremely important for video games.

However one seemingly simple yet relatively deep and complicated question has always bothered me: when does localization cross the line of censorship? Aren't these changes killing some of the game's fun?

I will show you a simple example, let's see how Yakuza 3 on PS3 was adapted for the US territory. A lot of gamers complained because some scenes and important elements of the games where changed when the game made it to US.

Now the question is: do all of these elements actually required to be changed? Isn't that just based on a stereotype that American gamers tend to be more religious and concerned about nudity and violence? Gamers were most likely expecting something different after reading about the game in specialized media

Now if you look at it, most gamers actually are adult and will absolutely not care to find certain elements. In fact, their absence may come as a huge disappointment for them and alter their gaming experience. So should developers think a little more about what public they are targetting, or just assume anyone may buy the game by accident, and thus edit it?.

Video game localization should be given more consideration, and before censoring, developers should rather listen to their gamers at first.

You dont need anything. Just leave. The Idea that you would need anything to get away from anything shows exactly how the "I need" culture has gotten to you. Simply leave. The hardest part is doing it. Actually making the decision.

I have worked for the Mega Rich CEO's of corporate america for almost a decade now, caring for their racehorses... We bought out in the woods and commute to our workplace.
Living in the woods looking at the mountains, hiking & gathering mushrooms, fiddle heads and berries is such a contrast to the 5 million dollar racehorse and I've drawn more pleasure from getting dry by a fire after gathering berries and mushrooms in the rain, then the champagne parties after a win.
My husband and I have spent two years researching our way out. Staking a claim so we can legally squat, what to grow, where the good soil is, southern exposure and plenty of clean drinking water easy to get to our garden. Earth Ships and their construction has been a large source of the building materials we have begun to acquire from salvage yards. This summer we begin construction.
I'm excited because I just don't want to be part of the generation that knows better but sits and watches warnings on our big screen TV's. My grandparents didn't know what they were doing to this world, we do know but try not to face it.
I agree a lot of people hold this image of living in Alaska or Canada(where I live) and surviving, romatically. It will not be easy and knowledge will be key.
I found this post while continuing my research to find others who are doing the same thing.

Just do it man...I built a yurt, with a rocket mass heater & a small solar panel & battery for my lap top, went out into the woods 4 years ago love it, couldn't go back, my ex wife was a Dr I was a police office (sorry!) we were loaded doing 'good jobs' but it felt awful to me, so Time to try something different... Quite my job gave everything I own away to the Mrs & friends aged 32 I headed off intro the woods in south Wales UK. Love it love it love it, I have more than I could every want, healthy food, clear air & I found a small community doing the same, literally stummneld across them 'Tipi valley' my new girlfriend & I are about to have our second woodland baby, no birth certificate, home schooled born free from the 'system' like dozzer in the matrix, surrounded by love & compassion, if I died tomorrow I would die the happiest man alive, good luck, don't listen to anyone else follow your heart...sooner the better xxx namaste Kaine from UK

I want to leave society too like you! I hate people and I hate paying outrageous prices for things I can get cheaper...Why pay $4 for a bag of potato chips that could cost $0.99..It doesn't make any ethical sense...I also hate the government and hate that I don't have any sexual freedom in this country..Let alone do I have the money to move to another, let alone do I have the motivation or willingness to work for that money...
